Floor Plan AI
Floor Plan AI — Turn 2D Plans into 3D Floor Plan Renders
A floor plan is a promise — show clients the space it becomes. Furnished 3D floor plans and photoreal room views straight from your 2D plans.

Floor plan AI turns flat 2D plans into 3D floor plan renders and photoreal room views without modelling. Upload a CAD export, a scanned hand drawing or a screenshot from SketchUp or Revit; AI Render Studio reads the walls, openings and room boundaries and returns a furnished, isometric 3D floor plan — or an eye-level interior view — in seconds. No render farm, no plugins, no GPU.
Architects and interior designers use 3D floor plans to show clients how a layout lives before a 3D model exists: where the sofa goes, how the kitchen relates to the dining table, whether the bedroom fits a wardrobe. Generate two or three furnishing options for the same plan, compare them side by side, and present them the same afternoon.
Developers and agents use the same workflow for off-plan sales brochures and listings: every unit type rendered as a clean 3D floor plan with consistent materials. Because the input is just an image, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit, SketchUp or pen and paper all feed straight in. For a built property with photos of empty rooms, virtual staging with StageHQ is the faster route: it furnishes the actual listing photo instead of rendering the plan.
Floor plan AI works best from a plan that a person could read in a few seconds. Solid or poché walls, clear door swings and window breaks, and room names in plain text help the AI understand the layout. Remove furniture blocks you do not want kept, hide dimension chains and grid bubbles, and export one unit or floor at a time so the render stays legible.
Decide early whether you need an isometric 3D floor plan or an eye-level room view. Isometric renders explain the whole layout at once and suit brochures and listings; eye-level views sell the feel of a single room and work better from a perspective sketch or model screenshot. For room perspectives, the interior renderer gives more control over camera and furnishing.
Furnishing prompts make a large difference. Instead of just naming a style, describe the room uses and key pieces — “L-shaped sofa facing the window, six-seat dining table, queen bed with two bedside tables” — and the result tracks your intent more closely. Mention flooring and wall colour once and keep that wording for every unit to get a consistent set.
Keep scale in mind: a render can make a small room look generous. Check that furniture sizes are plausible against your drawing, and use the square meter calculator when you need to quote areas alongside the images.

Use cases
Who it’s for
Residential architects
Show clients how a layout lives at sketch-design stage, compare furnishing options for tricky rooms, and resolve questions before the model is built.
Interior designers
Turn a client’s existing plan into a furnished 3D floor plan as the opening visual of a proposal, then develop chosen rooms in eye-level views.
Developers and sales teams
Produce a consistent 3D floor plan for every unit type in an off-plan scheme, ready for brochures, sales suites and listing portals.
Renovation and extension designers
Visualise knocked-through kitchens, new extensions and loft conversions so homeowners understand the new layout compared with the old one.
Workflow
Traditional rendering vs AI Render Studio
| Task | Traditional workflow | With AI Render Studio |
|---|---|---|
| Unit 3D plans | Model, furnish, render each unit | Upload the plan, render in seconds |
| Furnishing options | Rearrange and re-render each | Change the prompt, regenerate |
| Consistent set | Shared materials and templates | One prompt for every plan |
| Room perspective | Set cameras in a model, render | Upload a sketch of the room |
| Client revisions | Edit the model, re-render views | Redraw the change, render again |
Tips
How to get the best results
Export at high contrast
Black walls on a white background read best. Avoid faint grey linework, coloured layer chaos and scanned shadows from folded paper.
Label every room
Room names such as kitchen, ensuite or study tell the AI what to furnish, so a small room is not given a sofa or dining table by mistake.
One floor per render
Multi-storey sheets confuse the layout. Crop to a single level, or a single apartment, and render each separately for clean results.
Lock the style wording
For a set of units, copy the same style, flooring and colour description into every render so the brochure looks like one project.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can AI turn a 2D floor plan into a 3D floor plan?
Yes. Upload a 2D plan and AI Render Studio generates a furnished isometric 3D floor plan or an eye-level interior view. Plans where walls, windows and doors are clearly drawn give the best results.
What floor plan formats work?
Any image of a plan — PNG or JPG exports from AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit or SketchUp, PDFs saved as images, or scanned hand drawings. You do not need the original CAD file.
Can I furnish the floor plan automatically?
Yes. The AI adds furniture, finishes and lighting that suit each room type and the style you choose, so you get a staged 3D floor plan rather than an empty shell.
Is it accurate enough for client presentations?
It follows your layout closely and is ideal for communicating space and furnishing options. For construction documents, keep using your CAD drawings — the render is a visual, not a measured drawing.
How much does a 3D floor plan render cost?
New accounts get 3 free credits. After that, each render uses one credit from a monthly plan or a one-time pack — far less than commissioning a 3D floor plan from a studio.
Does floor plan AI keep my wall positions and room sizes?
It follows the walls, openings and room boundaries in your plan closely, so the layout stays recognisable. It does not measure, though, and furniture can be slightly over- or under-scaled. Check the result against your drawing before publishing and keep the dimensioned CAD plan as the reference document.
Can I render a hand-drawn or scanned floor plan?
Yes. Photograph or scan the drawing flat, in even light, and crop away the page edges. A ruler-drawn plan with darkened walls works best. If the sketch is very faint, trace over the walls with a marker before scanning so the AI can pick out the rooms clearly.
What resolution are the 3D floor plan renders?
Renders download at high resolution, suitable for screens, proposals and listings. For large-format print such as sales boards or hoardings, run the chosen image through the built-in upscaler to add sharpness and detail before sending it to the printer.
