- Contemporary semi-open observation tower / mirador located in the Ciénaga de Progreso, Yucatán, Mexico, surrounded by shallow wetland water, mangroves, native vegetation and sandy terrain.
Use the physical model photograph as the EXACT geometric reference. Preserve the exact geometry, proportions, dimensions, openings, circulation, staircase and roof shown in the model. The staircase already exists in the physical model. Reproduce it EXACTLY as shown, including its location, shape, proportions, direction, continuity and number of steps. It may look like a ramp from the camera angle, but it MUST clearly be an actual staircase with individual concrete steps. Do not redesign, relocate or extend it. Render it as exposed concrete with a minimalist railing made from the same regional Yucatecan tzalam wood as the facade.
Preserve ALL existing openings (vanos) shown in the model exactly, maintaining their location, proportions and dimensions. Do not add, remove or relocate openings. On the right side, within the existing openings, include a simple contemporary door made from regional Yucatecan tzalam wood. Next to it, include the existing window with a matching tzalam wood frame. This window belongs to a small administration room and allows soft natural daylight to enter.
The double skin is made of regional Yucatecan tzalam wood (Lysiloma latisiliquum), a durable tropical hardwood. Use warm medium-brown tones, visible natural grain and a slightly weathered matte finish. The wood forms a lightweight, permeable secondary skin of slender vertical slats and handcrafted lattice / woven elements. It allows filtered views, natural ventilation and sunlight while acting as a passive solar screen. Keep the exposed concrete clearly visible behind the wooden skin, emphasizing the contrast between heavy concrete and lightweight wood.
Preserve the upper viewing platform and rooftop mirador exactly as shown in the model. Use the same tzalam wood for lightweight shading elements while keeping the space open to the landscape.
Emphasize bioclimatic architecture: semi-open spaces, cross ventilation, natural airflow, shaded circulation, permeable façades, filtered sunlight and strong visual connection with the wetland.
Authentic tropical Yucatecan atmosphere, hot humid coastal climate, native vegetation, mangroves, warm limestone-colored ground and subtle reflections in the water.
