- ### HUE CULTURAL IDENTITY & SPATIAL CONCEPT
The project is located in **Hue, Vietnam**, and the architecture must strongly reflect the cultural identity of **traditional Hue architecture**, especially the character of the **Nhà Rường — traditional timber houses of Central Vietnam**.
The **main Nhà Rường building** serves as the primary cultural discovery and exhibition space, introducing visitors to the distinctive cultural heritage, lifestyle, craftsmanship, and aesthetics of Hue.
The atmosphere should feel **authentically Vietnamese and specifically Hue**, not Chinese, Japanese, or generically East Asian.
Preserve the characteristics of traditional Hue Nhà Rường architecture:
* Dark natural timber structure
* Exposed wooden columns, beams, rafters, and traditional roof framing
* Refined and restrained craftsmanship
* Balanced proportions and calm spatial rhythm
* Traditional Hue decorative details used selectively
* Warm, aged natural materials
* A quiet, elegant, culturally rich atmosphere
* Contemporary exhibition elements carefully integrated without overpowering the original architecture
### RECEPTION → AO DAI & HUE TEXTILE EXHIBITION
Immediately after the reception area, the visitor enters an exhibition space highlighting one of Hue's most recognizable cultural identities: **the Vietnamese Áo Dài and traditional Hue textiles**.
This area should visually communicate the elegance, refinement, and feminine character associated with Hue.
Feature:
* Traditional and historical Vietnamese Áo Dài
* Áo Dài associated with Hue through different periods
* Traditional Hue textile samples
* Silk and natural fabrics used for Vietnamese ceremonial clothing
* Fabrics inspired by the Nguyễn Dynasty court
* Traditional Vietnamese textile patterns
* Subtle references to Nhật Bình garments and Nguyễn Dynasty court costumes
* Textile weaving, embroidery, tailoring, and fabric craftsmanship
* Display of fabric rolls, folded textiles, textile samples, accessories, and historical garment-making details
The exhibition design should be **museum-like, sophisticated, elegant, and restrained**, allowing the garments and textiles to become the visual focus.
Use soft museum lighting with controlled spotlights directed specifically onto the Áo Dài, fabrics, mannequins, and important exhibits.
The overall visual language should combine:
**Traditional Hue architecture + Vietnamese Áo Dài + Hue textile heritage + contemporary museum exhibition design.**
Avoid excessive ornamentation.
Do not use Chinese-style motifs, Chinese furniture, Chinese lanterns, Chinese lattice patterns, or generic Asian decorative elements.
The final atmosphere should clearly communicate:
**Hue, Vietnam — traditional Nhà Rường architecture, Nguyễn Dynasty cultural heritage, Vietnamese Áo Dài, traditional textiles, craftsmanship, elegance, and cultural authenticity.**
