Architectural Rendering Styles Explained

Architectural rendering styles are the visual languages we use to communicate a design. Choosing the right one depends on the project stage and the audience: a planning committee, a private client and a competition jury all respond to different things. Here are the main styles and when to use them.

Photorealistic

Conceptual

White model

Choosing a style

Match the style to the decision you need the image to support. Early massing review: white model or conceptual. Client sign-off and marketing: photoreal.
