Revit Pricing: What Revit Costs in 2026

AI Render Studio · October 25, 2026

Revit costs $380 a month, $3,005 a year or $9,020 for a three-year term on Autodesk's US store. Revit LT, the lighter version, is listed at about $560 a year. Revit is sold as a subscription only, so there is no one-off licence to buy.

All prices above are US dollars. Autodesk shows different prices in other countries and may add tax at checkout.

Revit subscription price

The Revit price depends on how long you commit. Autodesk's Revit subscription FAQ lists three terms:

  • Monthly: $380 a month. This is the most flexible option and the most expensive per month.
  • Annual: $3,005 a year. That works out to about $250 a month.
  • Three-year: $9,020 for the term, or about $3,007 a year. Autodesk describes this as protection from price increases during the term.

The overview page shows a "starting at" monthly figure. That figure is the long-term plan spread over the months, not what you pay if you choose monthly billing. The Revit cost you actually pay is the price for the term you pick at checkout.

Autodesk currently names this release Revit 2027.

Revit LT cost

Revit LT is a cheaper version of Revit built for 3D modelling and documentation. On the comparison page Autodesk lists it at $70 a month or $560 a year. The comparison page shows no three-year term for Revit LT.

Revit vs Revit LT: what is missing

Revit LT keeps core modelling, views and sheets. Autodesk's What Is Revit LT? page and support articles describe what it leaves out:

  • No worksharing, so several people cannot edit one model at the same time.
  • Simplified rendering only, compared with full rendering in Revit.
  • No API, which rules out most add-ins and automation.
  • No modelling for mechanical, electrical or plumbing engineering, and no analysis tools.
  • No network licensing, deployments, Revit Server or Citrix environments.

If you work alone on small or medium projects, LT may be enough. If you share models with a team or consultants, you will probably need full Revit.

AEC Collection price

The Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Collection bundles Revit with other design tools. Autodesk lists it at $460 a month, $3,675 a year or $11,030 for three years. It includes tools such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D alongside Revit, and Autodesk's collection page has the full list of included products and cloud services.

The collection costs about $670 more per year than Revit alone at the annual rate. It makes sense if you would otherwise buy two or more of the included products separately.

Flex tokens: pay as you use

Autodesk Flex lets you buy tokens and spend them only on the days you use a product. Autodesk's Flex rate sheet lists Revit at 10 tokens per day of use. Autodesk estimates that at about $30 for each day you use it. Flex can be cheaper than a subscription if you use Revit for only a few weeks each year. Rates and token pack sizes change, so confirm them on the rate sheet before you budget.

Free trial and education licences

Autodesk offers a free Revit trial, typically 30 days, and the trial cannot be extended. You can start it from the Revit free trial page.

Students and educators at qualifying institutions can get free one-year access to Autodesk software through the education plan. It renews each year while you remain eligible. Autodesk verifies enrolment or employment through a third-party service. Check Autodesk's education terms for what the licence covers.

Can you buy a perpetual Revit licence?

No. Autodesk's support article Can I buy a stand-alone (perpetual) license? confirms that new perpetual licences are no longer sold. Revit is available as a subscription, and Flex is the only pay-as-you-go route.

Which Revit option fits you?

  • Solo architect on small projects: compare Revit LT with full Revit, and check the missing features list above.
  • Team that shares models: full Revit, because worksharing is not in LT.
  • Firm that also needs CAD and civil tools: price the AEC Collection against buying products separately.
  • Occasional user: Flex tokens or the free trial.
  • Student or teacher: the education plan.

An AI alternative for Revit renders

Revit's own rendering is limited in LT and takes setup time in full Revit. Revit AI rendering with AI Render Studio runs in your browser, so you can turn a Revit view into a rendered image in about 30 seconds.
